Create a Special Tribute

Creating a Special Tribute Fund supporting SIA is a special way to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one. Thank you!

Every penny you give in memory helps SCI people get the support they need now and in the future.

How your fund helps

From the moment of injury and throughout their lives, SCI people, their families, and carers want expert advice and support. But often they don’t know where to turn. We show people that they are not alone and that with support and advice a fulfilled life is possible.

We reflect the views of our members, and represent the wider SCI community to Government and other decision makers.

Tony's Story

When Liz Pook passed away last year, her husband Tony Pook received tremendous support from all of Liz’s family, friends and contacts. Liz was an inspiration to so many people and showed that her life did not end with her paralysis. She played wheelchair tennis and golf from a special buggy, raising awareness of her injury by talking to Golf Clubs and encouraging them to raise money for Spinal Injuries Association.

'The thing that sticks in my mind is Liz’s lovely smile and determination to live life to the fullest. So we have to celebrate her life, think of all the good times and be so thankful that Liz was in our lives. Death is so hard to accept, but I believe the people left behind owe it to the people we have lost, to live our lives to the fullest, enjoy every day and treasure the memories.' Tony
